Ruby Barrel Necklaces

 The focal beads on these necklaces are both Barrel Beads made with gemstones and measuring just 13 by 18 mm. Shining through the little windows on the beaded beads are ten grey sapphires. In all, the necklaces each include 16 rubies (5 mm), two hand made borosilicate glass beads, six purple amethysts or golden citrines and a strand of garnets. In the golden version (top left), the beads include gold vermeil over sterling silver, gold filled, and 24k gold plated beads. The silver version (bottom left, and detail above) uses all sterling silver, except for the seed beads. The clasp is sterling silver, which is adjustable, with an extra ruby and a wired garnet briolette bead at the end. |
