This is a dodecahedral version of the overlay technique that first apperaed on a cube in my design, "Stargazer Beaded Bead," in the June/July 2012 issue of Beadwork Magazine, as part of their 15th Anniversary Beaded Bead Contest. Here is my blog post previewing that design. This golfball-sized bead is as hollow as can be, and makes a nice toy, where it sits next to my computer.
